Anxiety Counseling
What is anxiety? Anxiety disorder can be excessive, uncontrolled, and unrealistic worries about regular things most of the time. People with anxiety disorder is unable to control their worrying. This constant worrying results in expecting the worst for no reason and difficulty concentrating, falling/staying asleep, being on edge and restless. There are six common types of Anxiety Disorder
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – excessive worrying.
- Agoraphobia – fear of leaving the house.
- Panic Disorder – spontaneous, unexpected fear.
- Phobias – fear of an object, place, or situation.
- Separation Anxiety – fear of being apart from someone close.
- Social Anxiety Disorder – fear of being judged.
Depression Therapy
What is Depression? Depression is a common and serious mood disorder. Those who suffer from depression experience constant feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and lack interest or motivation. Physical symptoms such as head and body aches, digestive issues or other chronic pain. Depression symptoms lasting two or more weeks may include feelings:
- Sad or dark mood most days.
- No interest or pleasure in activities.
- Change in weight, diet, or appetite.
- Slow movements or thinking.
- Fatigue or loss of energy.
- Irritable, or worrying about different things.
- Poor concentration and difficult to make decisions.
- Feelings of worthlessness, guilt, or low self-esteem.
- Frequent thoughts of death, not wanting to wake up or suicide!

What is stress management? Everyone experiences stress. It can strain and affect your entire body making it difficult to function. Stress weakens your immune system, making it easier to get sick and worsen symptoms of mental illness. Developing a personal approach to reducing stress can help manage mental health and improve your health. Ways To Reduce Stress:
- Accept your needs and recognize triggers to avoid.
- Practicing relaxation is a good way to re-center and refocus.
- Daily exercise naturally reduces stress improving your overall health.
- Scheduling time for yourself makes you feel good.
- Eat well can stabilize your mood.
- Getting enough sleep decreases symptoms of some mental health conditions.
- Alcohol and drugs worsen stress. If you’re struggling, get help.
- Talking to someone can help whether to friends, family, or a mental health professional.
Self-Esteem Counseling
What is low self-esteem? Self-esteem, self-worth, and self-respect is how we see ourselves. Low self-esteem is an ongoing negative internal habits, feelings, and beliefs of not being good enough. This may include:
- Feeling worthless, unloved, or unwanted.
- Obsessively fearing failure and not going after what you want.
- Feeling like you don’t belong, the “imposter syndrome”.
- Constant negative self-talk and self-doubt.
- A lack of personal boundaries and standards.
- People pleasing, saying “yes”, and fear of not being liked
- Difficulty making new friends or increased dependency on existing friends
